TheSennheiser EK 6042is a two-channel wireless receiver housed in a compact, slot-mount chassis. It is compatible with all Sennheiser analog and digital transmitters operating within the 470 to 653 MHz range.

When paired with the appropriate adapter (available separately), the EK 6042 fits into all standard receiver slots on professional video cameras equipped with either UniSlot/SuperSlot or Sony interfaces. Adapters are also available to configure the unit for use in an audio bag, powered by either an external power supply or Accupack batteries for standalone operation.

Setup is fully automated with the One Touch Easy Setup function. Menu-assisted adjustments are quickly and easily made via the intuitive display panel. The built-in web server allows you to import and export entire configurations, saving you time in the field.

With true-diversity reception, an ultrawide 184 MHz tuning range, and both analog and AES3 digital audio, the EK 6042 is a flexible receiver that delivers reliable, studio-quality audio for a wide variety of professional broadcast applications.

Putting the EK 6042 into Operation with Essential Adapters

• The GA 6042-25 kit allows you to mount the EK 6042 into the receiver slot of a video camera equipped with a UniSlot/SuperSlot interfacePanasonic, Ikegami, ARRI. The analog and digital audio signals of both receiving channels are transmitted to the camera via the receivers multi-pin interface.
• The GA 6042-15 kit allows you to mount the receiver into Sony video cameras.
• The GA 6042 BP back-panel adapter allows you to use the EK 6042 in an audio bag, powered via an external power supply. In this scenario, you can also power the receiver with the GA 6042 BA Accupack adapter, two BA 61 Accupacks, and the L 60 charger. The primary audio outputs MAIN 1/2 can be set to output the audio signals of both receiving channels either in analog or digital form. The secondary audio outputs AUX 1/2 (and AUX 1/2 on the top panel) can only output analog audio signals.
