The Reverend Triad is a multipurpose, jack-of-all-trades low-end machine. This sleek, stage-ready bass is made from an all-korina body, a tonewood that is universally lauded for its incredibly unique sonic properties. With upfront midrange, snappy treble, and a solid foundation of low end, this bass is universally adaptable to virtually any style of playing. To tap into all that delicious resonance, the Triad brandishes three newly designed Jazz Bomb pickups that deliver incredible hum-free, big bass tone. Lastly, the Triad’s 5-piece maple/walnut neck with maple fingerboard and high mass bridge provides unbelievable clarity, attack, and sustain, allowing you to switch from chill grooves to funky attacks with ease.
These pickups are the bomb literally
The variety of lush bass tones you get from the trio of pickups in the Triad will inspire and excite. The Jazz Bomb pickups in the middle and bridge positions have been wired for really warm mids, a defined attack, and increased output. And best of all, these pickups retain their percussive tone even when you really get at it. The Jazz Bomb neck pickup has a richly defined tone that emphasizes the highs and lows while also remaining clear during more aggressive playing. Finally, because all three pickups feature ceramic magnets and 43-gauge wire, they stay hum-free!
Unique bridge provides sonic options
The high mass bridge on the Triad features a really hefty base plate that enhances the clarity and overall attack when you play. The extra mass also translates to more bell-like sustain, a bonus that any bass player will hear and appreciate. And because Reverend knows you like variety, this bridge has been designed to be used as a string-through-body or top-load. If the mood strikes or the style calls for it, string them through for slightly more sustain. Conversely, top-loading your strings will give you faster attack and response and an ever-so-slight decrease in sustain.
Bolt-on neck for punchier tone
The 5-piece maple/walnut neck with maple fingerboard on the Triad has been cut to a medium oval profile for a really comfortable feel in your hand that makes lines up and down the neck extra smooth. The maple fingerboard has been roasted to remove impurities like moisture and sugars that can have a subtle effect on the overall tone and resonance of the wood. Plus, to enhance sustain, snap, and overall attack, this neck has been bolted on with a 6-bolt neck plate! Our bassists agree that a bolt-on neck design translates to greater note definition and an overall sharpness and firmness that contribute to a punchier tone.
