The Reverend Airsonic W electric guitar fuses the singing sustain of a solidbody guitar with the extra harmonic richness a semi-hollowbody provides. Sporting a curvy and comfortable offset design, the Airsonic W’s korina body features two through-body F-holes for semi-hollowbody-like resonance. And there’s a lot of tonal territory to explore thanks to a pair of Railhammer pickups, which use rail magnets beneath your wound strings for tighter lows, and poles beneath your plain strings for fatter high notes. Factor in Reverend’s acclaimed Bass Contour control for even more sound-shaping potential, and a high-quality Wilkinson tremolo bridge for expressive bends and dives, and it’s clear the Reverend Airsonic W is fit for any stage or studio application.
An original design by Reverend founder Joe Naylor, Railhammer pickups are optimized for fat, punchy tone. Railhammer humbuckers utilize a rail magnet beneath your wound strings, the perfect choice for tight, punchy lows without mud or flubbiness. Beneath your plain strings, Railhammer pickups use pole pieces to enhance the fundamental of higher notes for a fatter sound.
Guitarists often wonder why more guitars don’t offer a bass roll-off control, like the Airsonic W’s Bass Contour knob. Dial it back just a bit to tighten up your rhythm tones, or roll it back further to emphasize attack and presence. Or use it in conjunction with the standard tone control for mid-focused tones you normally couldn’t achieve without an EQ or filter pedal.
The vast majority of guitar output jacks have just one single contact point for your cable’s plug, and is a common point of signal failure over years of use. Not so with the Reverend Airsonic W, thanks to its innovative jack by Pure Tone Technologies, which features dual contact points that grip your guitar cable’s plug firmly. The last thing you need when you hit the stage is an intermittent signal caused by a worn-out jack, and that’s one less thing you’ll need to worry about thanks to the Airsonic W’s Pure Tone jack.
