Shenzhen, China 21stJanuary, 2025:After a busy year at MOOERs critically acclaimed GGW (GTRS Guitar Works) factory, the company has officially announced another new series of electric guitarsthe MMT Series. In contrast to the recent announcement of the MSC1+ Pro series, the MMT electric guitars focus on catering to guitarists who prefer higher-gain tonal styles. Ultimately, this is achieved through the series carefully chosen tonewoods and pickups, making the series ideal for heavier rock and metal genres.
Within the series are the MMT100 and the MMT100 FR, both of which are built with high-quality American alder bodies, roasted maple, rosewood necks, and 24 nickel-silver frets. Unlike the vintage-inspired MSC 1+ Pro Series, the MMT Series incorporates more contemporary features, such as a 12-inch radius for comfortable playability, an MMT-1B humbucker bridge pickup, and an MMT-1N single-coil neck pickup, along with an advanced coil-split switch for tonal versatility.
At the heart of the release is the MMT100, a guitar that keeps things simple, but while still maintaining the quality design standards of the series. Notably, it features a rosewood fingerboard that has been applied to the roasted maple neck, with the guitar itself being available in Pearl Black, Pearl White, and Iron Grey. Overall, the MMT100 offers a sleek and streamlined option that contrasts greatly with the vintage aesthetics of the MSC 1+ Pro Series, especially considering its focus on facilitating heavier tones.
Meanwhile, for players who like the look of the MMT100 but require greater control and precision, the MMT100 FR is suggested. Essentially, this guitar is built on the foundation of the MMT100, but with the addition of a Floyd Rose FRTS5000 tremolo system and a locking nut.
Ultimately, these upgrades bring exceptional tuning stability and expressive possibilities to the guitar, enabling more advanced performance techniques. More still, the eye-catching Aurora Purple, Aurora Green, and Aurora Pink finishes further distinguish it from the standard version of this guitar.
Ultimately, the diverse range of models that the MMT Series has on offer is a welcome introduction to MOOERs electric guitar releases this year. Rather than specializing exclusively in beginner-friendly options in classic vintage styles, the MMTs prove that the companys GGW factory is also equipped to build higher-end instruments for guitarists who enjoy performing heavy rock and metal. Theres no denying that the MSC 1+ Pro series excels when it comes to blending vintage inspiration with an affordable price point, but the MMT packs a lot more functionality and advanced hardware, despite still being highly affordable.
