In this newly fine-tuned speaker system, the proven standard format with a 12 low-frequency woofer and a high-resolution 1 high-frequency driver, provides the ideal compromise between achievable sound pressure and low colouration in the reproduction of all types of music and speech. The BEM-optimized constant directivity horn with the powerful 1 compression driver comes from the CONTOUR X series, which was developed for the rough and tumble of touring. With a dispersion angle of 80 x 60 and the ability to rotate 90, it always delivers the optimum dispersion pattern whether it is used horizontally or vertically. In combination with subwoofers such as the S118 or S218, the result is a very powerful system that can reproduce modern music styles at a high level without any restrictions. The FO12 can also be used for larger venues, provided that further-away areas of the room are boosted with delay speakers (e.g. with the FO5, which can be installed unobtrusively).
