Loaded with three Magnetic Field Design Z-Coil pickups, the G&L Fullerton Deluxe Comanche delivers all the glassy, plucky tones you could ask for from an SSS pickup configuration and that’s just the start. With G&L’s Passive Treble and Bass (PTB) tone system, you have access to a bass-cut knob to tighten up your tone in high gain applications. And thanks to G&L’s Dual-Fulcrum tremolo system, you can bend notes and chords up and down without sacrificing tuning stability. Designed to combine tonal dexterity with maximum expressive freedom, there’s no end to the creative potential in the G&L Fullerton Deluxe Comanche.
If you’re drawn to the creative potential a tremolo bridge offers, but are concerned about tuning stability, you definitely need to try out the Fullerton Deluxe Comanche. It’s equipped with G&L’s Dual-Fulcrum tremolo, an original design by Leo Fender himself. You’ll be able to bend notes and chords up or down with amazing tuning stability even after deep dives. And thanks to its natural bone nut, tuning issues caused by string binding at the nut are a non-issue.
The more we play with G&L’s PTB tone system, the more we realize how useful it is to have a low-cut control on an electric guitar. The PTB tone system essentially includes one traditional tone knob to roll off high frequencies, and another tone knob to roll off low frequencies. The bass roll-off is especially useful in high gain applications like fuzz pedals, tightening up low-end punch and keeping your tone from getting too muddy. It’s also a great way to add guitar overdubs to a mix without adding too much low-mid frequency content.
Take a look at the G&L Fullerton Deluxe Comanche, and your eyes will naturally be drawn to its unique Magnetic Field Design ZCoil pickups one of Leo Fenders own magnificent innovations. These pickups sound bright and sparkly in the top end and thick and robust in the bottom end. It’s a fantastic tone as-is, and also an excellent foundation for shaping with pedals. And in addition to standard five-way switching, a mini toggle switch gives you access to a neck plus bridge pickup combo, or even all three pickups on simultaneously.
