The DAngelico Premier SS is a highly playable semi-hollowbody electric guitar with versatile tone and elegant visuals. The Premier SSs semi-hollow, single-cutaway body is extremely comfortable and yields a bright, rich, resonant sound with loads of bite and sustain, while a solid center block ensures a feedback-free performance. Equipped with a pair of Supro Bolt Bucker pickups, the Premier SS delivers that gorgeous alnico antiquity with some serious definition. Navigating this guitars fast and comfortable C-shaped maple neck is effortless as your fingers dance on its smooth pau ferro fingerboard. The Premier SS boasts nice aesthetic touches such as mother-of-pearl acrylic Block fingerboard inlays, multi-ply binding and Scalini pickguard, and smart chrome hardware. The DAngelico Premier SS comes loaded with a set of Supro Bolt Buckers. These vintage-inspired pickups use Alnico II and V magnets at the neck and bridge, respectively, to churn out some seriously old-school sonics. Taking after the classic PAF tones of the past, these Bolt Buckers provide a balanced response and rich tonal nature, ready to tackle cleans and crunch with just the right amount of attitude. This potent sonic elixir is routed through a 3-way toggle switch and per-pickup volume and tone controls. The DAngelico legacy
After mastering his craft during an 18-year apprenticeship, luthier John DAngelico opened his own shop in Manhattans Little Italy in 1932. Catering to New Yorks many jazz musicians over the ensuing three decades, DAngelico and a single apprentice became New Yorks foremost stringed instrument builders, creating over one thousand treasured archtop guitars until Johns death in 1964. Following his passing, the DAngelicos legacy lived on only through his rare, legendary instruments. After decades, the DAngelico brand has resurfaced, bringing back the playability and attention to detail of the companys New York roots. DAngelico uses state-of-the-art manufacturing processes and the finest available materials to create playable works of art for todays guitarist.
