Kramer has long been known as a brand that makes guitars that meet the needs of highly fluid and technical playersa brand for shredders and virtuosos. For nearly 50 years, Kramer has been the guitar choice for legendary trailblazers, but were not resting on our laurels. Today, were crafting guitars for the next generation of innovators. The new Kramer Volante HSGT is the proof; its a modern instrument with cutting-edge features built to satisfy the needs of contemporary players who demand a high-performance guitar suitable for a variety of styles, including todays heavier musical genres.
The Italian word Volante translates to flying or light in English and signifies the musical ideas of speed and movement. As a musical direction, it commands playing fast and fluidly. Kramers latest platform, the Volante, embodies that spirit of speed and fluidity. The Kramer Volante HSGT offers cutting-edge features, including a lightweight alder body with forearm and body comfort carves. The three-piece, satin-finished maple neck is bolted to the body with five bolts and ferrules and has a sculpted heel for improved upper fret access. It also features the new Kramer KeyLock system. The KeyLock, developed by Senior Product Development Engineer Richard Akers, provides incredible neck stability. Paired with Kramers five-bolt neck-to-body joint, it prevents movement in the neck pocket, increasing vibrational tone transfer, sustain, and intonation.
The three-piece maple neck is thermally aged and has a fast-playing Kramer Elliptical C profile. The maple fretboard has 24 jumbo frets, black dot position markers, and a compound (10-14) fretboard radius. The truss rod uses a spoke wheel style adjustment at the body end of the fretboard, making it quick and easy to access. The 25.5 scale length is great for drop tuning. A Graph Tech TUSQ XL nut and Kramer Locking Die Cast tuners help to keep the tuning rock-solid no matter how much you use the 2-point Tremolo.
The bridge pickup is a Kramer USA Neptune humbucker, while the neck pickup is a noiseless Kramer USA Triton. Theyre wired to master volume and tone controls and a three-way blade-style pickup selector switch. The tone control has a push/pull switch for series/parallel switching of the bridge humbucker.
While this isnt an 80s design, its a Kramer, so like all of our guitars, it still has plenty of in-your-face, Made to Rock Hard attitude and all of the features that todays virtuoso players demand. A premium gig bag is also included to keep your Volante Quilt HSFR safe when stored or while its being transported to your next performance.
