Using Breedlove’s proprietary Sound Optimization process, the spruce is precisely tuned to produce balanced tone and singing sustain. The exotic cocobolo contributes deep, complex resonance to complement the top. With the LR Baggs Anthem pickup, the Legacy concertina accurately captures the guitar’s natural acoustic voice.

The Legacy Concertina features Breedlove’s trademark slim neck profile that enables comfortable playing, even for musicians with smaller hands. The hand-rubbed semi-gloss neck contributes to the guitar’s ideal playability. And unlike traditional dovetail joints, the easy-to-adjust bolt-on neck and single-action truss rod make it simple to customize the action and angle.

Resonant Cocobolo Back and Sides

The figured cocobolo back and sides are visually striking, with a rippled pattern in shades of reddish-brown. Cocobolo is known for its rich, complex resonance that enhances the guitar’s warmth and sustain. The deep lows blend beautifully with the crisp, balanced highs from the tuned spruce top. Strumming or fingerpicking, you’ll feel the cocobolo’s vibrant tone resonating through the slim, chambered body.

Spruce Top Tuned for Optimal Tone

Breedlove meticulously hand-tunes the solid European spruce top using their Sound Optimization process. The spruce is voiced to achieve a balanced tone profile with clear, projecting highs and focused midrange. Notes ring out with singing sustain. The thin, responsive top vibrates freely to produce the Legacy concertina’s lush nylon-string acoustic tone.

LR Baggs Anthem Pickup
